API reference

All requests go to https://api.uptime-signal.net over TLS 1.2 or above. Authentication is a project token passed as a bearer credential. Tokens are scoped to a single project and can be rotated without redeploying anything.

Authentication

curl -sS https://api.uptime-signal.net/v1/status \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $PROJECT_TOKEN"

Endpoints

GET /v1/checks
List configured checks with their current state.
POST /v1/checks
Create a check. Interval, timeout and expected status are required.
GET /v1/checks/{id}/history
Raw results for a check. Paginated, 13 months of retention.
POST /v1/maintenance
Open a maintenance window so alerts are suppressed.
GET /v1/status
Component health as JSON. Used by this status page.

Rate limits

60 requests per minute per project token, measured over a sliding window. Exceeding the limit returns 429 with a Retry-After header. Bulk operations count once per call, not once per item.

Errors

Errors are returned as JSON with a stable code field. The HTTP status carries the class of failure; the code identifies the specific condition.

{
  "error": {
    "code": "token_expired",
    "message": "The project token is no longer valid.",
    "request_id": "7f3c1a9e"
  }
}

Quote request_id when contacting support; it is retained for 30 days.
